Bryan C. Esch

Bryan C. Esch represents businesses and individuals in matters involving business law, mergers and acquisitions, contracts and licensing, professional corporations, real estate, family business and succession planning, e-commerce, and estate planning and probate. Examples of recent clients and matters in which Mr. Esch has been involved are business entity formation, general legal and real estate representation for numerous emerging and established business entities in renewable energy, e-commerce, professional practices including dental, veterinary, medical, architectural and engineering practices, real estate development, software and manufacturing and distribution fields; representation of clients in sales, acquisitions, or mergers of closely held and family-owned businesses; representation of an international food manufacturer in a major corporate reorganization; and drafting business partnering and development agreements and various e-commerce and licensing agreements for renewable energy, software, biotech, e-commerce, and other high-tech clients.

In addition to membership in the county, state, and national bar associations, Mr. Esch participates in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Family Business Center and the pro bono Business Assistance Program through the State Bar of Wisconsin. Mr. Esch is also active in the community and serves on a number of committees and boards. Because of his work, Mr. Esch has been named to the national publication The Best Lawyers in America.

Involved in the community, Mr. Esch serves on the board of directors of the St. Thomas More Society, and has served on several committees of the American Heart Association, as well as the board of directors of the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin Housing Foundation. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received the Order of the Coif upon graduation from law school.

An author and lecturer on business and estate planning issues, Mr. Esch has helped clients on several matters including:

  • Business entity formation and general legal and real estate representation for numerous emerging and established business entities in renewable energy, e-commerce, retail, real estate development, and professional practices--including dental, veterinary, medical, architectural, and engineering--as well as software, and manufacturing and distribution fields.
     
  • Representation in sales, acquisitions, or mergers of closely held and family-owned businesses, including professional practices involving the medical, dental, and veterinary fields and a national architectural and engineering consulting firm.
     
  • Representation of businesses and their owners in succession planning by drafting operating agreements and buy-sell agreements for limited liability companies and corporations.
     
  • Drafted numerous intellectual property licenses, business partnering and development agreements, and various e-commerce agreements for renewable energy, software, biotech, e-commerce, and other high-tech clients.
     
  • Drafted and implemented numerous comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents for individuals and family business owners, designed to preserve wealth and advance the wishes of the clients.
