Jascha Beck Walter

Jascha Beck Walter is an attorney in the law firm's Metro Milwaukee Office in Brookfield with a large and widely diverse client base.

Whether working with clients in mergers and acquisitions, business formation and operation, establishing and maintaining intellectual property rights, or assisting in taxation planning and advocacy, Mr. Walter uses his wealth of education and experience in five interrelated areas of law. Before beginning his practice at DeWitt Ross & Stevens, Mr. Walter worked as a tax consultant for a global accounting firm and as a stock broker for a national firm. Additionally, Mr. Walter is often sought as a lecturer on topics of corporate law, intellectual property licensing, and taxation.

Mr. Walter focuses his law practice on representing individuals as well as small and large businesses. His clients encompass a wide range of industries including business consulting and services, information technology, software development and consulting, manufacturing, retail, inventory logistics, and real estate construction and development.

Mr. Walter is a member of the American Bar Association sections of business, intellectual property and taxation. Active in the local community, Mr. Walter has served as president of the Rotary Club of Mitchell Field, and currently serves as president of the Rotary Club of Mitchell Field Charitable Foundation. He has served as the chairman of the St. Stephen parish council and remains an active member. Mr. Walter serves on the boards of directors of several non-profit groups, including the Bay View Community Center, the Wisconsin chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America--for which he also serves as legal advisor--and the Professional Learning Institute's School Governance Council. Because of his work, Mr. Walter has been designated a Wisconsin Super Lawyer "Rising Star" by Law & Politics magazine.

An industrious student, Mr. Walter spent one semester at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, before earning a law degree from Marquette University. Mr. Walter has helped clients in a variety of matters, including:

  • Representing a major software developer in an infringement claim.
     
  • Representing a client in the $600,000 sale of proprietary software to a customer.
     
  • Forming a non-profit organization that promotes awareness of drug and alcohol problems and raises money for research.
     
  • Representing a major software developer in a $20 million acquisition.
     
  • Representing one of the world's top illusionists in business planning, negotiation, tax and intellectual property matters.
     
  • Establishing a national non-profit organization founded by service contractors for educational and charitable purposes.
     
  • Establishing a non-profit organization for the Rotary Club of Mitchell Field.
