Lori A. Hickman

Lori Hickman is an associate attorney at the firm's Madison Office whose practice focuses on family law and estate planning. In addition to having family law litigation and trial experience, Ms. Hickman is also trained inthe Collaborative Divorce model.

Ms. Hickman's prior experience includes serving an internship with the Milwaukee Juvenile/Mental Health Division of the Office of the State Public Defender, where she represented juveniles in both misdemeanor and felony cases. She also served an internship with Judge John Albert in the Dane County Circuit Court. Ms. Hickman is admitted to practice before all Wisconsin courts and the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Wisconsin. She is a member of the Dane County Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin. She is also actively involved with the Inns of Court, as well as the Legal Association for Women and the Dane County Case Mediation Committee.

Ms. Hickman graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2005. As a law student, Ms. Hickman served on the editorial board of the Wisconsin Womens Law Journal. Ms. Hickman was an active participant on the executive boards of the Childrens Justice Project and the Womens Law Student Association. She also served as student liaison to the board of directors of the Children and the Law Section of the Wisconsin State Bar. In the spring of 2005, Ms. Hickman was awarded the Vicki and Brent Orrico Scholarship for leadership, character, initiative, and service to the law school. Prior to law school, Ms. Hickman attended the University of Wisconsin where she earned an undergraduate degree with honors in psychology and legal studies. Her senior honors thesis addressed issues in developmental psychology.

In her free time, Ms. Hickman enjoys spending time with her family as well as wilderness canoeing, camping, and cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers.
