Thomas J. Fonfara Is a Lobbyist in our law firm’s Madison office. Mr. Fonfara thoroughly enjoys representing a variety of clients and issues working with members and staff of the State Legislature, the Governor and his advisors, and the leadership and staff of Wisconsin state agencies.
Mr. Fonfara’s career has taken him from the campaign trail to working for a Congressman in Washington D.C., a Legislative Aide in the Wisconsin State Legislature, a Policy Advisor/ Policy Director/Legislative Liaison to a former Governor, a Legislative Liaison to the Commissioner of Banking, and the third ranking official in the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Mr. Fonfara is now enjoying his 11th year as a professional Lobbyist. He has been involved in State Government in Madison for nearly 25 years.
Mr. Fonfara has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he received the Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence.
Previously, Mr. Fonfara served on the Board of Directors for the Pigeon Falls State Bank. He also served on the Board of the University of Wisconsin-Stout Alumni Board of Directors, serving as President for 3 ½ years. He served on the Board of the UW-Stout Foundation. He has also donated extensive time in support of youth hockey including serving as the President of the Sun Prairie Youth Hockey Association, Vice President of the Region 4 Hockey Council, and on the Board of the Dane County Hockey Officials Association. He is currently serving as Assistant Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 333 in Sun Prairie. He is a member of the Association of Wisconsin Lobbyists.
Mr. Fonfara’s other interests include running, golf, softball, skiing, and photography.
