Marc J. Adesso

 

Marc J. Adesso is an attorney at our Metro Milwaukee Office in Brookfield with a practice focusing on business formation and operation, family-owned enterprises, mergers and acquisitions, tax and estate planning, real estate transactions and entertainment law.

Mr. Adesso brings a wealth of experience to every matter he works on. Before entering the legal field, Mr. Adesso worked in the areas of marketing and business development at several publicly-traded companies. In the capacity of independent consultant, he has also written successful business plans for a variety of industries and has helped in guiding a number of IPO's and mergers.

Since beginning his legal career at DeWitt Ross & Stevens, Mr. Adesso has helped clients in a variety of matters, including:

  • Assisted a major real estate developer in raising $15 million based on a Regulation D offering
     
  • Facilitated private raise of capital using Convertible Debentures to fund the launch of a financial services franchise
     
  • Drafted transactional documents in order to effectuate purchase of an approximately half-million dollar distributorship and underlying real estate
     
  • Developed succession plan and carried out transfer of business between father and son for an entirely family-owned retail franchise
     
  • Advised high wealth individuals on how to streamline their estates and trust portfolios, including issues such as Title 19, charitable foundations, and tax exemptions
     
  • While providing general support for large-scale litigation against a nationwide retailer, provided counsel on optimization of tax structures for corporate entities
     
  • Established a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to aiding low-income individuals through the medium of Brazilian culture
