MADISON — The Madison and Milwaukee based law firm of DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C. today announced that Michele L. Perreault has been appointed to the District 9 Committee of the Office of Lawyer Regulation by Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson.

“This appointment is a testament to the integrity of Michele and her legal practice. We are proud to have her as part of our firm,” said Managing Partner Bradley W. Raaths.

Established in 2000, the Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR) is an agency of the Wisconsin Supreme Court that supervises the state’s legal practices and protects the public from attorney misconduct. The office is responsible for screening, investigating and prosecuting cases. If an attorney is found to be in violation of a court rule, the office has the authority to seek sanctions against the attorney.

Perreault is a partner in the firm’s Madison office and serves as chair of their Family Law practice group. While she is a highly regarded family law attorney, she is also a member of the Labor and Employment Relations, Litigation, and Trusts and Estates practice groups, and her representation is sought out by businesses both large and small. Perreault received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School and also holds a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

DeWitt Ross & Stevens S.C. is one of the top ten law firms in Wisconsin and the largest Madison based law firm.  It has nearly 90 attorneys practicing in Madison and Metropolitan Milwaukee in a variety of legal areas and has the experience to service clients of all scopes and sizes. The firm is known for its work in several areas, including corporate and family-owned businesses, employment, environmental, employee benefits, government relations, health care, litigation, real estate, tax, estate planning, family law, personal injury, intellectual property, patents, trademarks and copyright law.
