Attorney Bryan Woods has devoted most of his practice to civil litigation including representing clients in various personal injury matters that have included wrongful death, products liability, insurance defense and defense of nursing homes. Mr. Woods has also represented clients in commercial issues and has represented banks on claims of lender liability.
Mr. Woods is authorized to practice in the Eastern and Western District Courts of Wisconsin as well as all of the circuit courts in Wisconsin. He has also represented clients in the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In addition, Mr. Woods has represented clients before arbitration panels. He has presented a seminar on discovery issues and in 2001-2002 was included in America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals.
Mr. Woods has served as a Court Commissioner by the Dane County Circuit Court Judges and currently serves as a civil case mediator for the Dane County Bar Association.
Bryan's clients span a large spectrum that have included individuals, small start up and well established businesses, a bank, and a private investment group. As noted, representation has included personal injury, shareholder disputes, and product liability.
Bryan has recently completed several cases involving shareholder disputes and the rights and obligations of minority shareholders. A recent matter involved the inappropriate use of a Financial Power of Attorney in which the client recovered over $200,000.
