Chase is an associate in the firm’s litigation and labor and employment relations practice groups.  His practice focuses on general civil and business litigation, as well as environmental litigation matters.

Prior to joining DeWitt as an associate, Chase was a law clerk for DeWitt where his research focused heavily on trade secrets, non-compete agreements/restrictive covenants, and liability under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Chase also spent two years at a Chicago consulting firm where he worked with the research and development arm of the bio-pharmaceutical industry. As an analyst, he developed an efficiency metric for cross-company benchmarking that evaluated the success of a clinical study based on the geographical location, the targeted therapy area, and the initial capital investment.

While in law school, Chase worked for the Wisconsin Innocence Project, a program in which student attorneys investigate, litigate and remedy potential wrongful convictions.  He also served as Note & Comment Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review, and he competed and coached for the school's Moot Court Board.
