Deborah L. Van Zoest

As Paralegal for the Family Law Practice Group, Deborah assists in many aspects of a case, from beginning to end, which routinely involves drafting correspondence, motions and various pleadings, meeting directly with clients, working closely with the Court, attending meetings, monitoring deadlines and working closely with attorneys to prepare and meet those deadlines, along with working with clients to respond to discovery obligations, completing financial forms and providing guidance on procedure. Deborah enjoys working closely with clients as she supports them through the legal process with her natural ability to provide comfort and assurance. She is meticulous in her work, understands the immediacy of events and takes initiative to think ahead.

Deborah began at DeWitt as a legal assistant in 1995 and has over 30 years of experience in the legal profession affording her with knowledge in many areas of law, some of which include civil litigation, environmental, insurance and estate planning. She also has appellate and trial experience.  Deborah loves change and continually strives to learn new things and gain additional knowledge which will further serve clients, the Family Law practice group and DeWitt LLP as a whole.
