Marilyn Hanson is a certified patent paralegal who performs administrative filing and maintenance of foreign patent and trademark matters, including maintaining the foreign and U.S. docket system. Additionally, she tailors strategies for foreign intellectual property protection, including providing cost estimates and timelines. Marilyn has also worked with patent applications filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), in the European Patent Office and several other foreign countries, communicating directly with foreign associates.
Prior to joining DeWitt Ross & Stevens, Marilyn gained several years of experience in the intellectual property field working with other intellectual property attorneys in the area. Finding that she had an aptitude for and enjoyed her work in the patent area, she continued her education earning her certification as a Patent Paralegal. Marilyn enjoys the rewards and challenges of her work as well as the support and educational opportunities given by the firm's Intellectual Property group.
